Some years ago they released the Star Trek Animated Series on DVD, they were pretty bad... but there was an interesting character introduced in it, a female cat crewman ( Voiced by Nichelle Nichols ) and thanks to an extra Playmates Uhura figure, Dr Crusher head and a tail from a dollar store tiger, I created a fairly decent figure of M'Ress.
Actually, Majel Barrett did the voice, completed with rather stilted sounding purrs. (Had Filmation had its way, Barrett would have also doubled as Uhura, but Nimoy said he would not commit unless Nichols and Takei were hired.) Now, if they had the budget, I think Eartha Kitt would have been a "shoe-in" for the part. Listen to her performance as Catwoman in the 3rd season of the Adam West Batman series and you'll see, uh hear what I mean.
