Tag and Bink are DEAD...or are they?

A fantastic read created by Kevin Rubio (Troops fan film) , follows two goofy rebels as the stumble through the Star Wars universe going back to The Phantom Menace days through to the destruction of the Death Star II in Return of the Jedi.

Luke and Han from the Death Star Detention Center Escape three pack, heads removed , then  adding a Mace Windu and a Doctor Alan Grant (from the Jurassic Park 3 3/4 inch line) heads.

"Yes as a matter of fact I AM a little short for a stromtrooper...ya jerk!"

A pretty easy custom from the early run of the 1990 figures" Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise with a Luke head in its place... quick and simple

What I Made...They Made...9

Yavin Base Rebel Ground Crew, another figure I felt was missing for decades. Popped apart an AT-ST pilot, arms from a Han Solo (one of the earlier "He-Man" sculpts) a head from some random solider plus the helmet from the uber-buff Fleet Trooper were assembled to make this underpaid worker drone.

Image lifted from Rebelscum.com , which is a fantastic site with TONS of information on Star Wars Collecting

What I Made...They Made...8

From the "Deleted / Unused File"
Utris M'Toc - Bespin Cloud City Security Guard was to appear in The Empire Strikes Back, but his scenes were ultimately cut. Taking the POTF Bespin Guard (Asian head sculpt) and placing a repainted  Star Trek the Next Generation Worf figure (from Galoob) the alien cop was made.

"You may start your landing...."
General Maximilian Veers, one of the few non-incompetent Imperial officers.
Just took the Veers that came with the AT-AT vehicle and hollowed out the helmet, popped on a Chancellor Finis Valorum ... done and done

General Jan Dodonna:
Again one of the 1st few figures I made. I took a  a Chancellor Finis Valorum head and an Endor Han Solo to make the Yavin 4 base leader. There are errors with what I created, sort of a combination of Dondonna in his long lab coat and his field jacket. Years later  a decent Dodonna was released and with the new Captain Raymus Antilles you could head swap the head and jacket and get the General in both his New Hope outfits.

What I Made...They Made...5

One of the very 1st figures I made. After seeing the "deleted scenes" in the Marvel comics version of A New Hope, I wanted another hero to hang out with the "Star Warriors".
Taking a Han Solo head and legs along with Ceremonial Luke torso plus a cape from cantina aliens Labria, along with some hair sculpting i made Luke's childhood friend ... who is now dead...

The Just-Us League....

My nephew (now nine) is a fan of Batman and Superman, he's been reading comics and watching old Justice League Unlimited cartoon. I've been buying him almost every JLU figure that has been made. I've begun to make customs to fill in the blanks -  I bought a few resin cast heads and kits off a JLU Figure website - then a few head swaps later...

Wally West - sans mask
 Terry McGuinnis - sans mask
 Hal Jordan
 Guy Gardner
Black Manta - Superfriends style
After the pictures were taken... I realized I was in a rush to ship them off to my nephew for his birthday..I forgot some pupils...so ...toothpick in hand...they can now see!

Kea Moll :A Rare Find! saves me the trouble....

One of the more interesting female figures made back in the 1980's was Kea Moll from the very hard to watch Star Wars Droids cartoon. A rare find in the ocean of boy toys."Female Figures Don't Sell " was the mantra of most toy companies in the 1970-1980... which is why you alway notice 1 or 2 of the few female characters missing from your favorite toy line.

Kea Moll: is Human female member of an anti-Imperial resistance cell on the Outer Rim planet Annoo . She joins Thall Joben & Jord Dusat as they take on the Fromm Family of Crime.
Her is how she appeared in the cartoon and some of the card-backs and illustrations

looks pretty good, but thanks to the skills (or lack of) this is the monstrosity that Kenner released .... eeeewwwwww

So for years the idea of doing a custom Kea was always in my mind, but I didn't think I had the skill to sculpt a correct hair style and then add the hair to an existing head... then on eBay - BAM - a damn find "realistic" look Kea Moll

it was a tad pricy.... but .... saves me the trouble....

Odds and Ends....

Just a few background, expanded universe, cartoon  and non-film characters.

Return of the Jedi:
A rebel tech that can be seen prepping, loading, programing (?) the holograph dysplya on Home One for the Mon Mothma's briefing... need to repaint his tunic  so the color is more of one shade...

Shadows of the Empire:
Dash Rendar in his often shown sleeveless outfit , Dagobah Luke arms , and a spare set of Dash arms , create his comic book look

Star Wars - Legacy:
Cade Skywalker in his sleeveless outfit, with tattoos. Another set of Dagobah Luke arms and gloves from an Imperial help create this figure

 Star Wars - Droids:
Admiral Terrinald Screed. Indian Jones german motorcycle scout , the glove of G.I. Joe figure ( Deep Six... Wetsuit ?... not sure) the head from a Wing Commander figure and some sculpey were used to make the Imperil villain from the cartoon. I kept the olive drab color - even though the actual uniform was grey

Star Wars - The Clone Wars (Genndy Tartakovsky's) :
Annakin Skywalker in his battle damages outfit while confronting Asajj Ventress on Yavin 4 during chapter 17 through 19.

Return of the Jedi:
Using Talon Karrde's vest and a second Salet-Marae, I created a similar, but not 100% accurat rereation of the old Kenner Yakface

I am the Warrior!

With a pile of spare parts and some repainting... here comes Royal Guardsman Khaiel Kassus or Carl to his friends...

The head is a custom cast of the Romulan from the old mego lines , and the pants are from a Wyatt Earp Mego and the shirt from Cochise Mego, along with a paper Romulan logo printed from the internet...

Are You Ready For The Trek Girls....

The right white ultra-bright nice nice girls....
Thru the use of ebay and several mego and toy websites I tracked down several bodies, custom heads and uniforms top create un-produced  Star Trek female Crew members
Ensign Janice Rand and Nurse Christine Chapel

Haven't done enough research to actually find actual characters from the old show episodes that hey could represents...but good enough for the background filler department

Fun with Baking Soda!

The Hoth System : cold, snow covered and skiing classes all year round

before tossing out some baking soda I trough together as few mini dioramas... also up graded a bunch of Rebel Hoth X-wing pilots with the proper sculpted boots (from a few Hoth troopers and Luke in Dagobah gear)

Sebastian Shaw - the 1st Anakin

Anakin Skywalker a.k.a Darth Vader, is the 1990 head sculpt, hollowed out and placed on a Revenge of the Sith Ben Kenobi body, with the skirt from the Power of the Force Ben Kenobi, with a Mace Windu robe

They'll never do this figure justice with all the other characters ahead on the list, he'll never get an updated fully articulated sculpt... poor glowing bastard...

w/o his robe
How he appeared the 90's and the 80's:
UGH
